Valentine’s Flower Delivery Packages Singapore

With Valentine’s Day coming up, have you ever wondered about the difference between a red and white rose, or what your suitor is trying to tell you with that bouquet you’ve just received?

1. Rose

It’s the priciest bud at the florist, but still the most popular, since there are few flowers that convey as many different meanings as the classic rose. Mature red blooms typically symbolise romance, love, beauty and desire; white roses denote purity and innocence; yellow of happiness; lavender of enchantment; while pink speak of one’s appreciation for a lady’s grace. There is however a difference if you choose rosebuds – red now represents purity, and white as a sign of girlhood or young love.

2. Tulip

Most often associated with the Netherlands, the cup-shaped blossom comes in a wide array of colours, and while not the fanciest in a garden, it’s simple beauty and grace endures. Gifting tulips mean perfect or enduring love, and are used to convey comfort and warmth.

3. Sunflower

The flower itself brightens a person’s mood immediately, also denoting positivity and nourishment since it produces an abundance of edible seeds. The sunflower also speaks of long life – as most varieties bloom for months on end in summer.

4. Ranunculus

Its name might sound like a handful, but you just have to think of romantic films where the lead actress runs through a field of wild buttercups to get an idea of how the ranunculus flower looks like. Like ruffles of layered thin paper, bright yellow is one of the most popular hues, where the flower represents radiance and charm.

5. Baby’s Breath

They are mostly tucked in pretty bunches with other larger flower varieties, and mostly come in white. But, baby’s breaths grow in pink and faint yellow hues too, and are an icon of lasting love – another reason for their perennial appearance at weddings.

6. Gerberas

Also known as gerbera daisies, the flower generally signifies happiness, and are gifted to ladies with sunshine personalities.

7. Hydrangea

They may scientifically be classified under the shrubs family, but hydrangeas definitely look anything but. Hydrangeas carry a whole load of mixed meanings, which makes it imperative to get your colour selection on point. Pink is commonly used for weddings and romance; blue could be a request for forgiveness or related to frigidity; while purples indicate a deeper desire to understand someone more.
